What is “Compounding”?
It is the art where science, chemistry, and medicine are applied to customise medication to meet your specific needs to achieve optimal health outcomes. In our state-of-the-art compounding laboratory, using quality sourced raw ingredients, our expert team can formulate and prepare medications tailoured to you.
Do you suffer from allergies or intolerances? Are you are unable to tolerate an inactive ingredient(s) in a medication? We may compound your medication without these ingredients that cause you these issues. (eg. Gluten, lactose, dyes, preservatives, and others)
Difficulty taking or swallowing your medications? We may compound your medication into an alternative formulations, such as capsules, liquids, sublingual tablets & troches, creams, ointments, lotions, pessaries, suppositories, and more!
Need a specialised dose or strength? We may compound your medication at a dose to meet your needs.
Medication is unavailable, discontinued, or out-of-stock? We may compound your medication to ensure you don’t run out!

Compounding FAQs

How do I order a compound?
Please contact our staff. For prescription items, please forward a copy of the prescription, and a friendly staff member will be in contact. If you wish to proceed, a non-refundable deposit may be placed prior to compounding.

How long does compounding take?
Whilst we endeavour to prepare all compounds as soon as possible, we are usually able to compound within 1-2 business days* - subject to raw ingredient and resource availability. More complex, or third-party compounds may take longer.

Can you compound injections and eye-drops?
Our labratory is classed as “non-sterile” and we unfortunately cannot compound sterile formulas such as injections and eye-drops onsite. However, we may still be able to assist you via our affiliated sterile labs.

Do you compound medication for animals?
Yes! We have many vetinary patients too! We still apply the same compounding guidelines to the highest standards to ensure all our patients (human and animal!) are safe!

Is compounding subsidised on the PBS?
Whilst some simple compounds may be subsided under the Pharmaceutical Benefts Scheme with a prescription, the majority of compounded items are not subsidised.

Will my private health insurance cover compounded medicaitons?
Possibly! Please check with your policy with your insurer for more details.
